On who is the greatest music composer of all time,

Was it Beethoven in his prime?

Or was it Bach, who was sublime?

If he was doing a Gig today, he’d be the headliner,

He was 65 when he died,

After a botched operation on his eyes,

Perhaps his decision to have surgery was unwise,

His vision became very poor,

He was the greatest composer, he didn’t have delusions of grandeur,

So, Bach became blind, Beethoven became deaf,

They composed in each clef,

So, who was better? Mozart or Beethoven?

Franz Schubert had a tremendous work ethic,

If you listen to him, you’re in for a treat,

Not your average man walking the street,

Schubert was an Austrian composer,

He wrote 7 complete Symphonies,

Have a KitKat, have a break, Geez,

Have you heard of Richard Wagner?

An unpleasant guy,

But my,

The greatest film composer in history,

I’m an enigma, I’m a mystery,

The name Matt Davies will go down in history!

Bach’s music had real intellectual depth,

And a technical demand,

I’m done with this song now,

I want to put my feet in hot sand,

On a tropical island like Tenerife,

And do some snorkelling by a reef,
